Chambers refer to the private quarters or office of the judge that is attached to the courtroom and where sensitive hearings can take place, such as an adoption, or to hear sides on a specific item before the court prior to resuming a case.
Some cases can be decided within the chambers, and other times, the direction of cases will be determined after submissions are made privately by both sides to the judge from within the chamber.
Chambers can also be used to describe the offices of the lawyer and other legal professionals within a case.
