Conflict of Laws

Conflict of laws refers to a situation where both federal and state laws, laws of different states, or different courts are in a conflict or disagreement regarding a particular lawsuit.

The plaintiff’s lawyer in such a situation decides in which court or state the case should be filed. However, a defendant can file a response that asks for the court to move the case.
