Territorial jurisdiction refers to the power of the law (specifically, the court) within a certain geographical area. An example would be concerning a case where one or both parties reside in a jurisdiction where a crime was committed.
Territorial jurisdiction can be chosen in contract law or otherwise determined by the location of the event that is in discussion.
