The term arson can be referred to as a crime (which is intentional in nature) of burning down a house or any other building. People who can commit arson can be mentally ill pyromaniacs or shop owners who want to benefit from the proceeds gained from insurance claim.
Historically, the burning of a house was only considered arson, but now it includes every building (structure). If this act of intentionally burning down a property results in death of any person, the person responsible will be charged of murder.
