Housing discrimination is illegal. The Fair Housing Act prohibits housing discrimination and is designed to create a fair and equal housing market for all citizens of the nation.

Housing discrimination is simply another form of discrimination that can cause certain groups of people to face unfair treatment.

An example of housing discrimination would be if a landlord refused to rent to a specific tenant because he was gay. Such an action would be illegal under the Fair Housing Act.

If a person believes that they are facing housing discrimination, they can seek legal action. If the defendant is found guilty of the crime, they could face punitive consequences from the court.
