International Crime

Definition of International Crime

International crimes are ones which affect more than one nation or which are so horrendous in nature that it would be considered immoral or wrong not to intervene. Typically, any type of war crime would be considered an international crime. Since the inception of the Internet, other computer based crimes such as piracy have been added to this category.

International Crime Explained

There is an international human rights court and international tribunals which have traditionally heard these cases; since the technology based aspect has arisen (piracy), it can take the form of any trial in any criminal court in the world in which the crime falls into this category.
