Definition of Juvenile Court

Juvenile court is a department or a special court which is responsible for dealing with criminal cases involving minors (under the age of 18 years) or under-age defendants who are not in control of their guardians.



Juvenile Court Explained

In such cases, the minor has a right to hire a lawyer. Juvenile court tries to involve parties like social workers, parents, or others with an aim to prevent the minor from any future crimes. However, in cases of repeated or serious crimes the minor maybe sentenced to imprisonment.
