Negligent homicide can be referred to as killing someone without intending to so—that is, without malice or in gross negligence. It often includes the death of a person due to negligence on a motorist's part. It can also be defined as a death resulting from a behavior that is far from what we know as ordinary care.
Negligent homicide is considered as manslaughter, but is usually charged with penalties of lesser intensity. Negligent homicide can also be termed as involuntary manslaughter. Laws related to negligent homicide may vary from state to state. Examples may include the death of a person due to the careless driving of another person, actions of a drunk man that results in the death of another, etc.
