Sex Offender Explained

Sex offenses are very serious. Rape can be accompanied by jail sentences that are commonly between 5–10 years. Furthermore, once a sex offender gets out of prison, the label of being a "sex offender" can make it much more difficult to get a job or housing.

There are varying degrees of severity for sex offenses. For example, sexual harassment is generally less severe than molestation or rape. The more severe the sex offense, the more severe the punishment is likely to be.
