An uncontested divorce is a type of divorce where both sides agree to all points within the divorce. The agreement on matters such as property division, child custody, and visitation. Since all points are agreed upon, the divorce action is more easily completed. It can be done cheaper than if the divorce action were drawn out for any length of time.
There are two basic types of divorce: contested and uncontested. A differentiation is made to signify when both parties agree to the terms of the divorce at the outset. That is an uncontested divorse. The divorce will be granted faster. In some states, an uncontested divorce is called a dissolution.
