The term dominium is formed from a Latin word dominus, which means lord. Dominium is actually a Roman word which represents the right of owner against the whole world. It means the right to use a possession along with absolute its ownership.
The owner of the property also has the right to transfer the property as he or she sees fit. Historically, dominium was subject to various charges. Yet more recently, dominium only means ownership of the property.
