Title 1

Definition of Title 1

Title 1 is a federal program that assists schools with high levels of low income students to provide a consistent level of education among schools nationwide. If a local school is receiving Title 1 funds then the property will not be at the highest price scale in the area. The most expensive property will be relative to the price of the low income and poverty in the area.

Title 1 Explained

The federal government dictates that school is mandatory and also dictates a base level of education that should be derived from any school year. If the property prices are low in any area due to it being a disadvantaged area then there will not be the same available funds to spend in the local school system.
